Hardin County, Kentucky, has excellent deer numbers throughout the county and produces some big bucks yearly. This lease is a working livestock farm with some cattle on it. They seem to be moved around from time to time as the property is cross-fenced, and I did not see cattle across the property. The woods were more open in some sections and thicker in others, where hardwoods and cedars were combined to create a more secure area on the northeast side. I found rub, trails, and a few turkey feathers in these areas. There is plenty of water here with multiple ponds and a large lake. A small gas line makes an excellent stand area to catch them passing through. Onsite landowner helps minimize trespassing issues here. You will have shared fishing rights on the lease, and it is a Deer and Turkey hunting lease only. Oaks are present on the property. The property was select cut in 2021-22, and the logger did a great job here. The property should only improve with time with good bedding and plenty of browse.
