This hunting lease is leased and not available.
Deer and Turkey Hunting Lease in Richland County. Pictures of the bucks taken on this farm, leases #9401 and #9402, should be validation enough that Richland County is one of the better places in the state for mature whitetails. Landowner has owned the property for 20+ years and the friends and family who have hunted the property in the past have either moved away or purchased their own land, thus your opportunity to now lease it. Landowner also owns the property across the road to the east of this parcel which will be Base Camp Lease 9402 should you want to expand the acres you can hunt.
The small area highlighted in yellow on the aerial is an acre or two that is to be shared for potential camping site for both this lease and for whoever leases 9402. Reason for this is that there is electrical hook up possibilities on this. Use of electricity needs approval from landowner with the expectation that an additional fee be paid directly to him for the months you use it.
The area highlighted in blue on the aerial is the portion of the property that is pastured. Typically cattle are on it sometime in May and off early October each year. Landowner preference is that you do not hunt it while cattle are on this portion of the property but timing of this should not interfere much with spring turkey hunting and certainly not the prime rut weeks in middle to late October and into November.
There are a few usable elevated box type blinds on the property that landowner is okay with you
using. Landowners only request is that you bring your own ladders to access them.
This is a deer and turkey hunting lease only, thus no upland bird or waterfowl hunting allowed. Camping for hunting related activities is allowed with permission from landowner as to where and when. If you chose to use the shared portion highlighted in yellow on the aerial and want to use electricity, landowner will require additional fee paid directly to him for the months electrical is being used. Majority of open ground is already in crops or CRP type vegetation thus no food plots allowed at this time. ATV use for hunting related activities is allowed when weather and ground conditions permit. Landowner will work with you to make sure property boundaries are properly posted.
