This hunting lease is leased and not available. This 227 acre lease in Cheboygan County, MI consists of a large chunk of woods and natural grass fields great for holding deer. The fields are part of a grassland restoration program run by the USFWS. When I walked the woods I was really impressed with the diversity between mature trees and newer growth areas. There is a trail through the woods making for great access to hunting stands. The grass fields should make for excellent deer bedding areas, the grass on the North end of the tract was over six feet tall when I walked the ground. I also found a couple of old buck rubs and kicked up a group of three does while walking around. This property is open to deer and turkey hunting only. ATV use is allowed for hunting purposes only, being careful not to drive through the grass fields. Camping is allowed for hunting purposes only and there is an electric hookup available.
