This hunting lease is leased and not available.
If you are looking for a lease with the opportunity to harvest a mature Illinois whitetail, then look no further than these 278 acres in Randolph County. This property has, water, long running valleys, river bottom ground, and most importantly, it was completely littered with deer sign. You will need to bring a bunch of stands, because there are ton of places on this tract to hang one; from the secluded pockets where the fescue & alfalfa fields meet the timber, the ridge tops where the valleys come together, and even along the Mississippi River bottoms. Because the forest floor was covered up with leaves, it was exceedingly difficult to show a photo of all the deer trails I came across. There was not a section of this farm where I did not see a ton of deer sign. The best part about those leaves, the vast majority were oaks, so you will have plenty of acorns, to keep the deer fed. When I dropped off the ridge on the west of the property, I jumped up nine deer that I could see. This tract is going to make someone a genuinely nice lease. The Ag fields you see in the photos will be a mix of fescue and alfalfa. The current landowner simply does not have the time to hunt this property any longer and is offering it up for you to enjoy. He has practiced strict QDM on this farm since owning it, and it has been hardly hunted at all. I have a feeling, whoever leases this farm will be keeping it for a long time to come.
