This hunting lease is leased and not available.
When I inspect a new lease, there are a few key things that I look for. One of them is the quantity and quality of the buck rubs on the trees. I can honestly state that this property ranks at the top in each of those categories. The number of big, post rubs truly exceeded my expectations. There were so many, that I eventually quit taking pictures.
Located just minutes from I-70, and only about a 15-minute drive from the Manhattan Regional Airport, this 374-acre piece of the Kansas Flint Hills looks like a deer hunters paradise. The numerous, deep, wooded drainages along with the rocky hillsides with scattered cedars and brush create some great deer habitat. The grassy hilltops create some excellent vantage points to scout the draws below, or to view the surrounding landscape. There are several spots where you can see for miles.
Access will be through a locked gate along the road on the south side of the property. There is good access around the property if you stay on the hilltops- watch out for rocks on the hillsides.
The owner may be burning and cleaning up some of brush on the hilltops at some point to allow for better grass and range management. He will be respectful to fact that you have it leased for hunting and the woody draws and hillsides will remain the same. He is also willing to help with feeders, cameras or whatever else you may need.
