This cover is loaded with deer sign. Heavy trails, tracks, rubs, scrapes, and beds were all present during my inspection. The heavy trails in the creek bottom looked like cow paths. This property is bordered on the east and west by railroad tracks. These areas can be great travel routes for the deer. The small piece of timber in the northwest corner of the property should not be overlooked. There was good deer sign in this area as well. Plenty of mature trees on the property for stand placement. There is a small drainage ditch in the middle of the property running from east to west that could funnel deer as well. A small pond type area along the creek bottom could provide some waterfowl action also. The landowner encourages antlerless harvest. Be aware of property boundaries. Leases in this area are rare so do not miss out on this opportunity.
