This hunting lease is leased and not available.
160-acre deer and turkey hunting lease in Monroe County. Nice mix of agricultural and timbered ground along with more apple trees than I could count. There is also a small spring that runs through the southwestern portion of the property. Monroe County may not get the press that some of the other top counties in Wisconsin do, but it is really starting to produce some quality whitetails.
Pasturing does occur on portions of the timbered ground. In the northeast portion of timber that I have outlined in blue on the aerial, was selectively logged in 2023 and may in the future have some pasturing on it, but none at time of inspection. The timbered portion south of that has some animals pasturing on it, but primarily in summer months. Tends to be horses pastured on this. The southwestern 40 acres is what has the most amount of pasturing and tends to be more cattle. I tried with the pictures to represent the impact or lack thereof pasturing in each area so read the captions on each picture to know what part of the properties they were taken from.
Lastly, the landowner does occasionally do some selective cutting of timber. He wanted me to make sure and disclose that, but also that he would do his best to schedule this outside of the fall deer hunting seasons. My experiences with logging in this part of the state tends to be after the weather has gotten much colder and ground froze up, but this was something the landowner just wanted to make sure the hunters were aware of. Did not appear to me that much logging has been done for several years other than that mentioned above in blue section of aerial, so do not want to scare anyone off that this is an annual event.
This is a deer and turkey hunting lease. Respectful use of ATV for hunting related activities is okay when weather and ground conditions permit. Camping for hunting related activities is also okay with permission from landowner as to location on the property. Food plots landowner is open to discussing with you and might even be willing to put something in for you for an additional fee. Challenge will be potential areas are limited due to open ground being in agriculture and pasturing on some of the timbered ground.
