The way this lease lays out it is almost like having two leases , as there are two separate woodlot and crop field areas. The woodlot on the NW end of the lease is more mature timber with some thicker areas and is surrounded by crop fields. The woods on the NE end are thick and swampy timber, surrounded by crops and wetlands. This is prime time hunting habitat! With access off multiple roads hunters have opportunities to enter the land and hunt effectively on different wind directions. There is a nice spot to set up camp on the SE end of the property, out of the way of the hunting areas. The landowner told me once the crops come down the geese really pile into the fields, turkey hunting is good as well. ATV use permitted for hunting purposes only, be sure to keep off the crop fields and not damage them.
