After graduating from Jacksonville State University, Randy worked in Law Enforcement for three years as an undercover narcotics officer. In 1981, he was given the opportunity to work in private sector corporate security with Alabama Power Company, the largest electric utility in the state. Randy worked for Alabama Power & Southern Company in various capacities for 35 years. He retired as the Security Director for Alabama Power in 2016.
Randy grew up in Alabama and has enjoyed hunting since he was very young. Trophy whitetail hunting, archery and gun, is his passion. Whitetails and gobblers aside, Randy also enjoys bow hunting for elk and African Plains game. In 2008, Randy and his wife, Susan, purchased a farm in Chilton County Alabama which they named Turtle Creek. Randy and Susan have managed Turtle Creek exclusively for trophy whitetails and big gobblers. As a matter of fact, the whitetail in Randy’s profile picture was taken by him at Turtle Creek in 2017. After managing his property for 10 years, Randy has learned a lot whitetails, turkeys, farming and predator trapping.
Being retired, and after consideration of farm responsibilities and available free time, Randy applied for the Alabama Leasing agent position, and the rest is history. Randy is always available and eager to discuss Alabama hunting land for lease with hunters as well as discussing how the Base Camp Alabama Hunting lease process works with landowners. You may contact Randy by phone at 205-441-8765 or via email.
