We spoke with the Leasing Agent, John McCloud, about ten days before gun season opened and decided to go ahead and lease the property without looking at it first. One week before Kentucky gun season opened we took off from South Carolina to go and scout out our new lease. We met with the landowner on Saturday, November 2nd in the afternoon, then we spent about 15 hours on Sunday scouting and setting up ground blinds. Then we drove back to South Carolina and worked all week. Gun season opened November 9th, so we left after work on November 8th and drove 8 1/2 hours to get there about 2 hours before daylight on opening day. A couple of hours later we were in our stands. About 30 minutes after daybreak my friend Skip killed this 17 point monster. Thanks John for the good advice on taking this lease!!!!
