Being from Mi and working in Cali 80% of the year doesn't give one much time to really study a new property that I had just leased. Lucky enough In July I had time to drive down with my wife and set sat cams up and had a decent idea what bucks were on property and where they were hanging out. I really had my eye on this buck all season. Every morning and evening it was my favorite thing to do opening up my app to check out some monster deer on cam. So when Nov got here it was the first place I went drove down for bow right before gun opener. Ive hunted a lot of outfitters and had always been the guy to tag out last day last hour type of deal. But little did I know the good lord was going to put the stud in front of me at 44.6yards that I had been wanting to get all year long. I took aim and took my shot. As I shot tho he quartered away ended up 1 lunging him and the arrow went thru the heart. By the time I recovered him to put my hands on the biggest rack Ive ever shot I was ecstatic to say the least. I realized that I had just taken a monster in my very first sit in the very first hour. Since I work out of state my wife said get home to spend time with the family. I cant wait until next season. The quality of bucks here are Awesome! I had him scored in Illinois by a Illinois State Biologist and he scored 161” green horned.
