During my inspection of this farm, I started to realize I was not going to be able to share all the absolute giant rubs I found, but I will include some. Besides pictures of big rubs, I want to show the heavily travelled trails revealing the high amount of deer traffic. The deer numbers are thick in the area and this property has all the goodies drawing them in. Plenty of crops, most hidden/secluded over rolling hills, for deer to feed out on. Waterholes, ponds, and streams in almost every draw or patch of woods. I first went back to the patch of woods in the far southwest corner of the property, I figured this was going to be the honey-hole and it did not disappoint. I found a decent shed next to a massive rub. The woods are cut off by a stream then goes uphill sharply creating those horizontal ridge deer trails, bucks tend to hangout on those ridges, this corner would be a fantastic sanctuary. Once I got myself over the hill going east, I discovered all these finger draws and again more of these giant buck rubs and heavily traveled deer trails, this farm just kept getting more and more exciting! I started back north on the west end through the grass pasture, the grass is nice and thick, more great cover. I had a turkey blast off out of the grass in front of me, nice shot of adrenalin. I did find a decent young dead head, he must have partied a bit too hard this past rut, ok, maybe a gut shot victim, who knows. I really thought I had seen the best parts of the property but then I came up on the other patch of woods on the east end. Same story at this patch of woods, monster rubs, hillside trails, a stream below the ridge, and then trails headed out into the grass towards the crops. This last patch of woods may have been the highlight, a couple rubs were higher than I have ever seen on a tree.
