South central Iowa has some amazing whitetail hunting and this 120-acres will not disappoint. At the gated field entrance, you won't see much of the property, no road hunters bothering this place. The lease has hillsides on the east and west ends with a creek bottom running though north to south. The creek is also fed by the hillside drainage springs. There are two nice looking ponds with cover and bedding areas surrounding them.
During my inspection I kept jumping Hungarian Partridge, very cool! Plenty of deer sign throughout with pinch points, buck bedrooms, and clear signs of deer traveling across the lease. I bumped a few does and found a dead head from a couple years ago at least, looked like he made it back to his bedding area and died. Big rubs in one area along with two big scrapes, a perfect spot for a tree stand, so many places for tree stands or other set ups!
Cattle will be grazed in the small pasture part of this property up to November, less than 30 acres area.
