This hunting lease is leased and not available. About an hour's drive south of Des Moines is this fun 217-acre lease. This is a fantastic lease for the sportsman that enjoys hunting all types of game. The tall CRP grass is filled with roosters, I had them jumping all around me as I walked through the grass. I could have gotten my daily limit of pheasant quickly without even having a dog's help. You could hunt birds on the west side of the road in the day and deer hunt the east side in the evening, the road and topography split this place nicely. There is deer travel and bedding in the grass with some neighboring row crops acting as a food source. Google imagery does not do this lease justice; however, it does show the neighboring woods, there will be some good deer numbers coming across the fence. There will also be deer popping up out of the tall grass as they get up from bedding down. If you are into waterfowl hunting, there are a few ponds on the lease as well.
