This hunting lease is leased and not available. Monroe County Iowa, home to the World Famous Albia Buck! This property is 320 acres in Zone 5 and is located just north of the big buck producing Stephen's State Forest. There are deer and turkey everywhere on this piece. The land owners have taken great care to turn this property into the ultimate wildlife habitat. The open ground is being seeded and returned to all native prairie grasses that are rich with natural food sources that deer love to eat and use for cover. There has been extensive work done to ensure the proper development of the amazing crop of high yielding white and red oak trees on the property. The combination of these efforts has created an area that holds deer and a place where the deer feel very secure. The property has an amazing burr oak savannah running along a long ridge through its center. The property has a very secluded location, and extremely minimal human intrusion. There is very little hunting pressure in the area with several big tracts of land and a low number of hunters. The landowners live on the property and the area is heavily patrolled.

The landowners are very adamant about the area staying as pristine and undisturbed as possible. For that reason, ATV's are only going to be permitted to retrieve downed game so long as the weather permits, and no vehicles will be allowed period. You will have to walk in to set and remove your deer stand. Pack out what you pack in, and absolutely no littering. Temporary stands only and they must be removed after every deer season before you go home for the year. No screw-in equipment allowed, and only strap-on stands and climbing devices permitted. No deer drives and no shooting of predators.
