This hunting lease is leased and not available.
Allamakee County Iowa is one of the very best, if not the number one county in the country for booner whitetails the last ten years. This 230-acre property has timber and stand locations for an entire mile east to west, and over ½ mile north to south.
The blue area in the middle of the property has seasonal cattle on it. This is the only part of the property that see's a cow. The huge open field south of the cattle pasture and the big field north and east of the pasture is all established Native CRP Grass. The CRP totals about 103 acres! The west end of the property has alfalfa and row crops on each side and in-between the two tree ridges. There's just less than 30 acres of crops on that west end.
This lease has awesome pinch points and stand locations all over. The CRP is 4-6' tall and thick. There are several ponds holding water on the property. These will be perfect stand locations. While I was viewing the lease there were deer running everywhere. I found a pile of big rubs. I'm sure this farm is going to be crazy during the rut with all the CRP. There's something about CRP and doe's when they're in heat.
This property is ideal for bowhunters. The landowner might be willing to work on food plots in the future which would make the property even better hunting in later seasons. This can be discussed after leasing. The landowner is a great guy that wants to help you have a great experience.
Deer and Turkey Hunting Only.
There are pheasants on the property and grouse in the area. The landowner is trying to get these numbers up.
Only portable ground blinds are allowed on the CRP acres, and while you're occupying them. This is due to CRP regulations. They don't allow permanent blinds in the CRP.
This property is very easy to get around with ATV or UTV (for hunting purposes only).
There's a nice cabin on the lease. The landowner may be willing to lease this out for a week or two if your interested. This can be discussed after leasing the property. Contact the leasing agent for more details.
